More Eyelashes

I've found even more adorable eyelashes  These sets are from the Dolly Wink brand.  I got these of ebay as well, from Japan.  They come in a few different styles but are all uber cute!  I got No.1 Dolly Sweet.  The lashes are really girly and flirty and I think they make you look quite cute and innocent.  You can also get bottom lashes as well which I have still yet to try, for the bambi look.

I spent about £10 on these little falsie, inc p&p and you do get 2 pairs which is fab and costs about the same as getting regular eyelure lashes in the shop.  I did like these lashes, very very cute!

Eyelashes

I'm a sucker for false eyelashes!  I literally can't go on a night out without them now.  They're just so expensive though and never look as good if you're re-using them so I decided I wanted cheaper eyelashes that still looked amazing.

I don't like to go for the natural look on a night out, the bigger the eyelashes the better.  So I went to my good old faithful ebay and found hundreds of false eyelashes from Hong Kong.  If you get a good deal you can manage to get your eyelashes for about 20p a pair inc p&p.  BARGAIN!!

They are quite synthetic looking but at that price who cares.  There are lots of different styles, I obviously go for the dramatic ones, they are a bit tougher to apply but if you use good glue you can't go too wrong.  I use duo lash glue in clear which is £8.50 from MAC.  I only ever use this glue, it's fab.

These lashes are great and for the price you don't mind just using them the once and as they come in packs of 10 you'll be sorted for all those nights out on the town =).

A night on the tiles & my lashes!

Essential Hair Masque

So a few months ago I took the plunge and decided after 22 years of being a brunette I'd go blonde! It's safe to say after several months of blondeness it's taking a toll on my locks.  So I've been on the search for a nice hair masque which will freshen up my do.

I came across Essential - Ultra Honey & Shea Butter hair masque.  As is always the case, not available in the U.K.  So back to ebay, got it delivered from Thailand for only a tenner (inc p&p).  Good bargain.

As I didn't have a chance in hell of being able to read the instructions I just took a wild guess at what the directions would be.  I washed my hair with shampoo as normal and then added the product all over my hair.  It was so thick and smelt divine!  I left it for about 4-5 minutes.

I was a bit scared to leave it on my roots but decided to stick it all over, why not! After around 5 minutes I washed it out.  My hair was so silky smooth, it was hard to tell when all the product was out because it just felt so nourished. I dried my hair and ran my ghds over it.  My hair looked revived and felt a lot softer.  What a great product.  Give it a go!

cle de peau concealer

So like many women, I tend to have dark circles under my eyes and I hate it.  I've never found a concealer that actually hides them the way I want. In some cases it actually looks worse when I wear concealer.  Also when I powder on top, it just lies in the fine creases, NOT a good look!

I recently tried Bobbi Brown's Creamy Concealer, I really liked it when I first got it but I soon tired of it.  I absolutely love Kim Kardashian's flawless make-up and her under eyes are always bright and fresh looking, so when I found out which concealer she uses I had to get it!

Now to say cle de peau's concealer is pricey, is an understatement in my opinion. It's extortion! In the U.S it retails for around $70, so I hear.  For us poor people in old blighty it's a nightmare to get.  I ended up ordering mine from a lovely lady on ebay from America for about £60 (inc p&p).  It didn't take that long to arrive.

I can't say I was overly impressed with the packaging, it looked a bit cheap if you ask me, but it's what is inside that counts!  Also not that much product for all that dosh.

When I first put the product on, it was so creamy.  Lovely texture, didn't feel like it would dry out my skin at all.  It really did just glide on effortlessly.  The first time I put it on I put on foundation over it and then powder, it did go a bit creased, so next time I just put on the concealer and then powdered, much better!

Now for the price I have to admit I was expecting a miracle product, can't say it gives me the perfect Kim Kardashian under eyes but I would say it is an amazing concealer.  I am very happy with the results and did feel I looked more awake and fresh after applying it.

Dry Nails Pronto

I have found an amazing product! Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Spray. A spray which you use on wet nails to dry your polish in 60 seconds.  I was a bit skeptical at first but needed a solution to my smudged nails.  Many a times I have painted my nails a gorgeous colour, only to smudge them before a big night out. Infuriating! So I decided to give this product a go, at under £3, why not!  I painted my nails and sprayed this spray over them, expecting a nail polish smell, there was no smell at all. However my cat ran away when I sprayed it.  I left my nails for just over 60 seconds, just to be on the safe side, then gave them a touch test. DRY! I applied a clear top coat and sprayed again.  I had perfectly polished nails for about a week, and for my short nails this is a major achievement! Excellent product!

SNOOOOOOOOOOOW!

Oh.Emm.Gee! Can you believe this weather! I've already been snowed in a couple of times.  I've ordered all my x-mas shopping and a few beauty treats on line, I hope they get to me sometime soon.  Don't think I can take much more of this snow madness.  But on the bright side, it sure does look pretty!

My First Post!!

So it begins.  Hopefully the first post of many more to come!

My most important beauty must have.  No make up look is complete without a flawless base.  I think it is essential to have a HG foundation and powder, so here is mine.

As you can probably tell, it's CHANEL. I love this foundation.  I use the Pro Lumiére foundation in the lightest shade, limpide.  The coverage is fantastic, covers up flaws excellently.  I have used many foundations in the past and was put off liquid foundations as orange faced experiences as a teenager, but once I tried this one, I can happily say there is no looking back!

Pro Lumiére is perfect if you want a more substantial base, it makes your skin look flawless in photographs!  However when I decide to hit the town I usually mix up my pro lumiére in limpide with my Chanel Vitalumiére foundation in 1 shade darker, clair.  I find this works perfectly with a little bit of fake tan and gives a very natural glowing look.

I don't think I could ever wear foundation without setting it with a powder.  I use Chanel, again, Poudre Universelle Libre, in shade 20 clair, translucent 1 (lightest shade).  It makes my makeup look completely matte. Perfecto!

Just a little helpful advice on picking the right Chanel foundation for you:

Pro Lumiére - High coverage
Vitalumiére - For dry skin, gives a dewy effect.
Mat Lumiére - For oily skin, gives a matte effect.
Lift Lumiére - For mature skin, firming and smoothing.
