Tattoo

So it's my birthday coming up soon, I'll be the ripe old age of 23!  I've decided I'm going to get a tattoo, my first one, cos I've always wimped out in the past.  I'm getting it as a present from my mum and dad.

I've thought long and hard about it and I've decided to get writing on my right shoulder blade.  I looked around for the perfect quote and have finally chose one.  I have always loved Romeo and Juliet and love the way it is written, so I have chose my quote from there.  It's not an obvious one, but it is ... "Wisely and Slow.  They stumble that run fast".  It means don't rush into things, which I think is a good motto to always have with me.

Now I have to choose the perfect font!!

New Year, New Me

From weheartit.com

This post is a tad late, but since the new year I have decided to opt for the healthy lifestyle.  I have started my healthy eating and I do feel so much better for it, a lot more energy!  I have had the odd bad thing, but a wee treat every couple of weeks can't be that bad!

I'm going to buy a new fitness dvd.  I'm terrible at exercising, I had a gym membership for a year and went about 5 times, total waste of money!  So I'm going to try and stick to an exercise dvd, at least nobody will see my awful moves!

I'm meant to be going on holiday with the girls this summer, so I need a rocking body haha ... wish me luck!!

Snuggled up

It's still winter.  Hasn't it been the longest winter ever!!  I thought I'd make up a snuggly winter outfit look, complete with fairlisle, ear muffs, snowflakes, everything! Here it is ...

Fancy Nails

So I've been obsessed with painting each of my nails a different colour lately, smartie nails! It kind of makes me feel like a little kid again.  This time I decided to go for a warm colour theme.  I'd just bought a new models own nail polish called Pink Punch, which I got for only £2 in the river island sale, so I had to wear it.  It's the one I'm wearing on my thumb, it's so bright and extremely neon.  I love the brightness of it and will definitely be buying more of the models own neon range!

Bouquet

So a few months ago I got engaged to my amazing boyfriend.  We don't plan to get married straight away, we've decided to take it slow and try and save a lot first.  So ever since I've been browsing the web for inspiration and saving pictures I like to go into my wedding scrapbook =)

I've decided, as I have a very arty family, I would like my wedding to be as homemade as possible. As well as it giving it a personal touch it also wont hit the bank balance as much and gives us more money on our extended honeymoon!!

So going along with my homemade theme I came across this ingenious idea.  I have seen a few pictures of brides bouquets made out of lovely brooches and jewels and have decided I'm definitely having to do that.  I've already got some lovely brooches from my great gran and will just visit antique shops and charity shops every so often to add to it.  Aren't they just lovely though!

Camel

I'm loving the camel trend just now.  The colour just gives a very sophisticated edge to outfits.  Here's my camel style look, my inspiration being the girl on the go, with her essential starbucks!

Elf

I recently bought a 100 piece eyeshadow palette from elf cosmetics.  Elf stands for eyeslipsface and has a UK based website.  The products are very purse friendly which is always a plus and most of the items are £1.50 and they have absolutely everything, eyeshadows, lipsticks, eyeliners etc etc.  It's well worth a look.

Anywho, I signed up to their newsletter and received an e-mail saying they were giving away their 100 piece eyeshadow palette at half price with a unique code.  I obviously had to have it so ended up getting the whole thing for only £7.50! Bargain!

They send out quite a lot of offers through their email newsletters so it's worth signing up.  Anyway here's my lovely new eyeshadows I'll be playing around with.

Burlesque

Eventually! I went to see Burlesque the other night with my fiancĂ©.  I LOVEEEEED IT!

It's safe to say that I have an obsession with Christina Aguilera ever since her "dirrty" days.  I love her music, her style, EVERYTHING! So when I saw the trailer for this move, I knew I just had to see it.  The other half wasn't that keen, safe to say it's more a ladies film.

It had all the glitz and glammer that I expected.  I am a big Moulin Rouge fan and it kind of reminded me of that.  The costumes were amazing! So sparkly and show stopping.  The make up was just gorgeous!  Here are a few highlighs ...

I'm hoping to have a go at recreating the looks for a night out, so if successful I'll put them up =D.
